Qualified Social Worker

  • Salary: £200 - £240 per day
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Middlesbrough, UK. The ideal candidate will be motivated by a genuine desire to support individuals and their families during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments to understand client needs and develop appropriate support plans.

2. Manage cases in coordination with other professionals like health workers, teachers, and probation officers.

3. Facilitate and manage the risk management plans and safeguarding processes.

4. Provide practical help and emotional support to clients dealing with various challenges such as unemployment, disability, mental illness, substance abuse, or social maladjustment.

5. Advocate passionately on behalf of your clients to other professionals and bodies.

6. Record up-to-date case information, observational notes, and assessments.

7. Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including participating in an out-of-hours rota if required.

8. Continually participate in professional development activities to augment your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

1. A recognised Social Work qualification (social work degree or diploma) and current valid registration with the Social Work England.

2. Experience in a similar role, demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of the application of relevant legislation, guidance, and procedures.

3. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, their families, and other professionals.

4. Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in high-pressure situations.

5. Clear verbal and written communication skills.

6. A valid driver’s licence is desirable.

7. The right to work in the UK.
