Qualified Social Worker-Adults- Community Team

Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Senior Social Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of adults across Yeovil, Somerset.

The role:

As Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for acting as a link worker for adults. The role of a Senior Social Worker is a key position that brings together the needs of looked after adults, the support and management of carers, liaison with the placing authority and the administration and delivery of the service.

Working as a Social Worker within a busy community team, your role will involve working with adults from 18 years and upwards with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, chronic health conditions, older people and people with dementia. Tasks will include assessments, reviews, safeguarding enquiries and mental capacity act assessments. You will manage a busy and varied caseload, work as part of a team, and work with partner agencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake initial visits & Form F Assessments.
  • Initiate and carry out local recruitment activities and analyse the effectiveness of methods used.
  • Carry out stringent assessment and completion of Form F to standard, presenting reports to panel.
  • Ensure that at all times you work with a commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with adults as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
