Recruitment and Support Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Recruitment and Support Officer to work within the Childrens and Young People’s Service in Durham. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £10.01 – 12.88 per hour (PAYE and Umbrella payment options available).

The role:

The post is eligible for flexitime, and will be “hybrid working” (3 days in the office and 2 working from home each week).

The postholder will work alongside recruiting managers and in partnership with Payroll and Employee Services (PES) colleagues ensuring internal and external recruitment activity is managed successfully. This will include the review and update of job adverts ensuring content reflects the scope of responsibilities, standard and bespoke advertising via multiple mediums, distribution of application forms for shortlisting by recruiting managers, management of interviews via the recruiting manager, progress chasing and sign off of pre-employment checks including but not limited to references, Occupational Health checks, DBS and Right to Work verification.

The postholder will be required to communicate effectively with recruiting managers and Payroll and Employee Services colleagues throughout the recruitment, selection and appointment process, in addition, the postholder will actively build positive relationships with candidates ensuring effective communication is maintained and managed through to satisfactory conclusion.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration (desirable, not essential).
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 2 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
