Seven Social Care are looking for a Female Refuge Workers to work in a Domestic Abuse Service in and around Greater London:

Kensington and Chelsea

Sutton

Wandworth 

Richmond 

Paying £11.11 Per Hour / £13.45 PAYE PEr Hour through an umbrella company.

You will need awareness of Domestic Abuse.

 

 

This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.

We are looking for someone who can start ASAP.

The role of a Refuge Worker:

We are looking for a refuge worker to work in a 24-bed refuge across 6 houses in a gated community. You must understand DV, Welfare reform, Social Care Involvement and Resettlement.

You will improve each client’s quality of life and will be promoting and maintaining independent living for themselves and any dependents they may have.

Key Responsibilities as a Refuge Worker:

To provide intensive casework, support, and monitoring of general, and support needs, facilitated by key-sessions, community meetings, and general day-to-day contact.

To provide advice, information, and support to the women on safety – including around domestic abuse and independent living, as required.

To work with women in co-producing a ‘Support and Safety Plan’, with a focus on the individuals’ strengths to meet their chosen goals.

To fulfil our obligations and responsibilities to inform, and work with any relevant statutory bodies, for example, Social Services in regard to Child Safeguarding issues/concerns and to follow the Hestia Safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience working in a Domestic Abuse service.
  • Compliance: DBS on the Update Service, Right to Work in the UK
  • Hours: 39 hours a week
  • Female Applicants only
