Registered Children’s Home Manager

Seven Resourcing, a dedicated and forward-thinking recruitment agency, has an exciting permanent opportunity available for a Registered Manager to join a residential children’s home in Kent on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager role is up to £50,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the operations of the children’s home
  • Foster positive relationships with each child/young person in the home
  • Monitor relationships and tasks related to residential care
  • Ensure proper management of key stages like admission and discharge of young individuals with sensitivity, while effectively communicating relevant information to staff
  • Support therapy programs for each child/young person as needed (organizing appointments, aiding with homework, encouraging discussions, and implementing therapeutic strategies)
  • Provide appropriate support for children/young people facing crises and stresses, and ensure staff receive necessary support in handling these situations
  • Recognize, respond to, record, and refer safeguarding concerns following the home’s Safeguarding Policy
  • Engage in monthly supervision sessions with the Responsible Individual/Operational Manager for self-reflection and improvement in practice
  • Lead Home Meetings, Team Meetings, and participate in various meetings as required (CLA Reviews/PEP Meetings/Professionals or Planning Meetings)

Requirements:

  • Currently a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager
  • Possession of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or actively pursuing this qualification)
  • Proficient understanding and compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, including the quality standards (April 2015)
