Seven Social Care is looking for a Registration Team Manager at London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Council

 

Role Purpose

To support and assist the Head of Civic Services in the successful delivery of a highly skilled, flexible, innovative and professional Registration and Nationality Service. To have overall operational responsibility for the effective deployment of staff resources to ensure customers of the service can be seen within the statutory time limits.

To assist the Head of Civic Services in developing and sustaining a comprehensive customer care development programme for the service. To also maintain a staff development programme that ensures all staff have a personal development plan, are fully trained and up to date with all the legislative requirements of the service.

To have a thorough knowledge of legislation and to undertake all the legal responsibilities of the Superintendent Registrar and the Registrar of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and to deputise for the Head of Civic Services in their absence.

Responsibilities

 

    To work with the Head of Civic Services and to support and assist them in the strategic development of a high quality Registration and Nationality Service. To ensure that all areas of the service meet identified needs and deliver continuous service improvements and development in order to enhance the quality of the experience of service users.

 

    To deputise for the Head of Civic Services where required.

 

    To support the Head of Civic Services on Information Technology systems and projects and to liaise with the Council’s Information Technology Services Department and the General Register Office’s (GRO) Information Technology Support function where required.

 

    To have operational management responsibility, supported by the Head of Civic Services , to manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery. Including developing and improving staff capability, performance management and to improve processes and procedures which will enhance the positive reputation of the Registration and Nationality Service and Hammersmith and Fulham Council.
