Seven Social Care is looking for a Rehabilitation Officer Visual Impairment at Shropshire Council

The role:

As a member of the Sensory Support Service you will assess and offer training to people in the community referred to the team, to maintain the independence and enhance their wellbeing.

The post holder is line managed by a Team Manager who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training and development. Supervision and performance reviews will be completed by the manager.

The post covers the county of Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be:

? Responsible to Team Manager Sensory Support Services, who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training and development.

? Expected to lead and/or contribute to a range of projects and build relations with both internal and external partners in order achieve specified outcomes but will not have direct authority over those involved.

? To work as a member of the Sensory Support Service to provide a support service to people with an identified visual impairment.

? To identify, deliver and evaluate professional rehabilitation interventions to visually impaired people to enhance their skills and confidence to maximise their independence.
