Residential Child Care Practitioner

Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for several Residential Child Care Practitioners to start a new role in Sheffield. 

You will contribute to the function of the residential children’s home that provides for and promotes the care of children and young people working in partnership with their families. You will also contribute to the provision of a high quality residential care service to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

You will need the ability to work flexibly and, on a rota, to meet the needs of the services, including working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This will include sleeping in.

Responsibilities:

To contribute to the day-to-day operation of the home and to ensure that the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulation and Quality standards.

To work with all other staff within the residential home to contribute to the implementation of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance for the home and actively participate in all inspection processes.

To participate in regular supervision and staff meetings in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations including personal development reviews.

To ensure the timely and accurate record keeping and reporting as required both internally and externally.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:  Experience of working in a childrens home (1+ years)

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare

Compliance:  Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK

Hours:  37 hours a week, rota provided
