Residential Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for a Residential Worker based in Elgin, Morary. You would be required for initially 3 months which is likely to be extended, for a full time 24- 37 hour per week shift pattern.

The role:

You will be based in a Residential Home with children & young people who require therapeutic care and support with accommodation. The young people will often display socially inappropriate and challenging behaviours and the worker needs to be able to understand this and work in a trauma informed way and be resilient and able to cope under difficult circumstances ,

Key Responsibilities:

      T ake a lead with case/care planning management for individual children or young people, undertaking assessment of need, developing a care plan and identifying agreed outcomes and carrying out regular review in conjunction with children, young people and their families and other professionals.

Lead and work on shifts with accountability for service delivery, assessing and managing risks, deploying staff and resources accordingly while on the shift and to maintain personalised high quality care that is outcome focused for children and young people and apply agreed organisational procedures to ensure the safe care and management of children and young people in our care.

Support children and young people in their personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures in line with Action for Children’s policy and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young people or HNC Social Care
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children & young people.
  • Compliance: Up to date SSSC registration and PVG.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
