Response Support Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Locum Response Support Worker to work with Leicestershire County Council.

Start Date – ASAP

Pay rate – £12 per hour

The role:

Clients/patients will be 18+ (adult care) non qual.

Range of ailments-mental health/ physical disabilities/ LD/ old age.

To provide domiciliary care as well as provide transport to hospital/doctors apts/ hospital discharge.

Hours are 7am-1pm,5pm-10-split shifts. HOWEVER this is flexible. If you have candidates who can do either AM or PM or slightly different hours will still be considered.

Must have full clean driver’s license with business insurance and own car. Mileage of 45per mile. Leicestershire county is a big place, it could be possible that candidates will be going from one end to the other. Manager will always attempt to keep daily radius small however, this depends on client needs and staffing- please make candidates aware.

MUST have medication and all mandatory training. Ideally will have care certificate.

FULL VACCINATIONS REQUIRED (or first vacc with planned second)

Enhanced DBS required.

 

 

 

 

To promote choice and support individuals in delivering a range of social care tasks including washing, dressing/undressing, showering and bathing, meal preparation, domestic activities, engaging in community activities, working to a graded programme to help optimise their level of ability and independence.

 

 

 

 

To undertake a range of delegated health care tasks as required e.g. prompt

prescribed medication; support the application of prescribed creams, eye and ear drops, catheter care, prompting exercises as prescribed by the physiotherapist. To complete and maintain accurate records as is necessary in respect of these tasks.

 

 

 

 

To work with the individual in the delivery of their support plan, using your own initiative and without direct supervision when out in the community.

 

 

 

 

To maintain at all times a kind, caring and professional attitude towards individuals, relatives and colleagues and taking into consideration dignity, privacy and confidentiality, cultural and religious needs.

 

 

 

 

To adhere to safe moving and handling procedures in line with individual support plans following training.

 

 

 

 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a same or similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work and DBS dated within the last 12 months (or registered on the online update service.)
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
