Rural Estate Manager

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Rural Estates Manager to work in Cambridge. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £350.00 – £400.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

The Rural Estate Manager is responsible for managing the Rural Estate Management team of professional surveyors based in the Strategic Assets’ Cambridge office, and for the delivery of property management, valuations, and transactions for Cambridgeshire County Council within allocated budgets.

The Rural Estate Manager is responsible for leading the development of the rural estate management trading activity across the region, promoting the team’s specialist skills in public and private sector market, negotiating and managing shared service and direct delivery arrangements with customers, providing high level strategic support and advice, and managing teams across customers’ operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

      To lead the Rural Estate Management function, providing high quality professional advice to customers and developing new business and trading opportunities for LGSS

To lead the strategic development of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Rural Estate, providing high level engagement with Senior Officers and Members, and representing the Council’s interests at regional and national level within the industry

Responsible for the delivery of operational Rural property management, valuations and transactions within internal and external environments in respect of operational property matters.

To provide direct Line Management to the Rural Estate Management team, including the professional surveyors, and to give technical and pastoral advice and guidance to all members of the Rural Estate Management teams, both in Cambridge and, where appropriate, seconded or matrix managed employees within customers’ organisations

To be the principal professional advisor to Strategic Assets’ customers on Estate Strategy, management and valuation matters, and to advise Senior Management and Directorate Management Teams on professional and technical issues

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Educated to Degree Level.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: References covering the last 3 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
