Safeguarding Adults Social Worker

Seven Resourcing is working with Herefordshire County Council to recruit a Locum Adults Social Worker within their adults safeguarding team.

Initial 3 months contract with the onlook of extension.

Full-time 5 days per week but can be flexible.

Rate up to £33 per hour Umbrella

up to £150 accomodation per week allowance (no travel to/from work)

Location: Ross-on-Wye/Ledbury/Hereford 

Job Purpose:

Herefordshire Community Wellbeing Directorate is a welcoming and supportive place to work. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, professionally confident Social Worker to complement our permanent workforce. We are looking for a Social Worker who enjoys fast paced work with experience of working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs and older people. 

Duties:

Herefordshire Adult Social Care is looking for an experienced locum Social Worker, with a strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 & the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Experience of completing Safeguarding Enquiries is also essential. 

You will have the ideas, values and knowledge that ensure that our responses are person-centered, safe and effective with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for the individuals you support. You will also be familiar with a strengths-based approach and able to employ this in supporting clients to maintain independence and build on community networks of support as much as possible. You will work on your own initiative in order to meet the requirements of the assessment and review process, but with regular supervision and support. 

Excellent communication and written skills are essential. Herefordshire Adult Social Care uses the Mosaic client database so experience with this system would be an advantage, but training will be provided as required.

We are currently working a hybrid system of part office/part home-based working. There is a requirement to be able to work face to face in the office in Hereford and be able to travel throughout the county as required. The role also includes being part of a duty rota and sharing this responsibility with colleagues.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications:Degree approved by the Social Work England Register (SWE).
• Experience:2+ years working with adults as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
• Compliance:Up to date passport and DBS and SWE Registration.
• Travel:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
