Safeguarding Senior Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated individual for the position of Safeguarding Senior Social Worker in Birmingham. This role involves providing high-quality safeguarding services, protecting the welfare of adults and children who are at risk or vulnerable.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to ascertain their needs, strengths, and risks.

2. Provide quality safeguarding advice to professionals, service users, and their families.

3. Collaborate with other professionals such as nurses, police, and teachers to ensure the protection of adults and children at risk.

4. Develop and implement comprehensive safeguarding plans for individuals and families in need.

5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these safeguarding plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure their success.

6. Carry out investigations in response to safeguarding alerts and conduct risk analyses to inform recommendations and actions.

7. Provide evidence in courts and participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.

8. Promote the rights, wishes, and feelings of service users, ensuring their views are central to the planning and decision-making process.

Qualifications:

1. Must hold a recognised Social Work degree, diploma, or equivalent and be registered with the Social Work England.

2. Proven experience in the field of safeguarding, social work, or a related area is essential.

3. A thorough understanding of safeguarding legislation and guidance in the UK.

4. Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.

5. Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
