Senior Administrator

We are currently working alongside a leading Highways &?Maintenance?company  to fill the position of a Senior Administrator to be ?based? in Hounslow, Hertfordshire,?on a permanent basis. The potential candidate will be  Processing applications from contractors for highways licenses, granting permit applications submitted by the utility companies such as Thames Water, BT, Cadent Gas etc. to work on the highways

Key Responsibilities

–    Interpretation of highways drawings

–    Processing contractor applications for highways license

–    Issuing of Permit

Competencies

–    Hands on experience using  and Microsoft Packages

Skills and Qualifications

–    Knowledge of the TMA 2004 regulation and the New Road and Street Works Act 1991

–    including any specific IT programmes

–    Competent with Microsoft package – Familiarity with Word, Spreadsheet etc

Experience 

–    Practical experience of street works administration and inputting/ retrieving information from an electronic street works register.

–    Demonstrable experience in analysing concerns and issues arising from the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), New Road and Street Works Act 1991(NRSWA) to minimise disruption on the highway network

–    knowledge of NRSWA 1991/TMA 2004 and current associated legislation

–    Possession of necessary certifications to work including Streetworks Qualification Registration

Personal Qualities

–    Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written), including relaying complex technical information.

–    Able to use initiative, prioritise workload and work unsupervised.

–    Able to get on with the team
