Senior Building Control Engineer

Seven Social Care is looking for a senior building control engineer to fill an exclusive opportunity in Westminster.

We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £364.27 (umbrella) per day.

The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 36 hours a week (various shifts available from Monday to Sunday).

The role:

Vetting of plans for a broad range of projects

Carry our general site inspections.

Give general Building Control advise by phone, email and in person.

Inspect dangerous structures during normal working hours.

Join the our-of-hours dangerous structures rota.

Creating adequate and timely records of inspections and correspondence

Assist in the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors 8. Assisting the Principal Surveyor and the Head of Building. Control of the team with sundry duties

Key Responsibilities:

Have a degree in the construction field or equivalent qualification and preferably have a Band C BSR qualification.

Have a full corporate membership status of a recognised professional body like RICS, CABE, CIOB, etc.

Have a minimum of five (7) years’ experience in Building Control

Be self-motivated to learn and work with little encouragement.

Be keen to learn and upskill their soft and technical skills.

Be able to work well in the team and take responsibility.
