Senior Environmental Health Officer

Seven Social Care iis seeking 

an experienced and qualified Senior Environmental Health Officer to work with us in Dudley, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and protecting public health by leading our environmental health team and working alongside public and private sector partners in Dudley.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide leadership, guidance, and technical advice to the environmental health team

– Conduct and supervise comprehensive and routine inspections and investigations in relation to environmental health issues including food safety, housing conditions, public health      nuisances, and infectious diseases

– Ensure compliance with environmental health legislation and regulations

– Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards

– Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including local authorities, healthcare providers and businesses

– Advise and educate the general public, businesses and other organisations on environmental health topics

Requirements:

– Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent

– Proven experience of working as an Environmental Health Officer, preferably at a senior level

– Strong knowledge of environmental health legislation, regulations and public health issues

– Experience of leading and developing teams

– Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills 

– Ability to work effectively and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines

Pay Rate:- £250.00 per day
