Seven Resourcing LTD is working with Leicester City Council to recruit a Senior Planner for their Housing, Benefits and Planning service.

Initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension.

£24.02 per hour via Umbrella Company

Senior Planner – Development Management

What you will be doing:

Processing complex planning applications and pre-application enquiries at a senior level in the development management teams. Negotiating at a high level to secure the best outcomes for developments including securing Section 106 Agreements.

Preparing and presenting evidence, reports, and visual presentations in your area of responsibility. Liaising with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and interested parties, addressing planning matters on conservation, flooding, design, and heritage including resolving any conflicting issues. 

Using clear communication and negotiation skills, you’ll effectively influence and persuade others. With the ability to self-manage and work to tight deadlines, you’ll be committed to design quality and conservation best practice to have a positive impact on neighbourhoods.

Experience:

A good fundamental knowledge of planning, and a working knowledge of other areas of specialisation within Planning is essential, understanding the complexities of major and minor planning applications processes and how they may interact with development management matters.

Substantial experience (over several years) of processing Major and complex planning applications and pre-application enquiries, demonstrating a solution focussed approach with relevant expertise, skills, and determination, to solve challenges collaboratively.
