Senior Social Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our diverse social work department in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the social and emotional needs of our clients are met and maintained on an individual basis.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyse, develop and implement individual care plans based on each client’s unique situation, needs, and goals.

2. Assess and evaluate clients’ needs in areas such as resiliency, family dynamics, and social capacity.

3. Act as an advocate for clients when interacting with other social services and organisations, ensuring that client interests are fully represented and understood.

4. Provide hands-on counselling and therapeutic support services to clients with emotional, social, physical, or mental health needs.

5. Supervise, guide, and mentor junior members of the social work team.

6. Work collaboratively with other professionals to assess client needs and develop plans for service delivery.

7. Manage cases effectively and efficiently, adhering to all necessary procedures and legislation.

8. Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities.

Requirements:

1. Possession of a Social Work Degree (BSW, MSW).

2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. A minimum of five years’ experience as a Social Worker is required, including experience at a senior level.

4. Extensive knowledge of social work principles, practices, techniques, and theories.

5. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

6. The ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential issues.

7. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Being a car driver would be beneficial, but not essential due to the location of the role. Travel throughout London may be required.

The role is full time, but part-time or flexible working arrangements may be considered.
