Senior Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team in Slough, UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing a high-quality social work service to our clients, working towards the steady improvement of their life conditions.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct needs and risk assessments to understand and interpret the needs of the client.

2. Develop and implement care plans and review them regularly to ensure their effectiveness.

3. Provide high-level advice and support for less experienced social workers, acting as a leader within the team.

4. Collaborate with other health or social care providers to deliver consistent and effective services.

5. Deal with complex cases, applying expert judgement to ensure the best possible outcomes for each client.

6. Keep accurate records and prepare reports for legal action.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Social Work and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Significant experience as a social worker, with a solid understanding of social systems, human behaviour and relevant legal frameworks.

3. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and respect for clients, as well as the ability to manage boundaries effectively.

4. Proven leadership skills, with the capacity to mentor junior staff and coordinate team efforts.

5. Ability to respond appropriately and calmly to crisis situations, showing resilience and professionalism.

6. Understanding and sensitivity to diversity issues, with a commitment to promoting equality and anti-discriminatory practice.

7. Good problem-solving capabilities, decision-making skills and the ability to priorise tasks effectively.

8. Proficiency with computer and case management software.

The successful applicant must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence and willing to travel in the course of their duties.
