Senior Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our highly proactive Social Work team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with solid clinical skills to provide essential services in a vibrant borough of London.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality, professional social care support and services to families, children, and adults, respecting their rights, wishes, and needs.

2. Conduct and contribute to comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of service users.

3. Facilitate multi-agency collaboration to ensure a coordinated and effective service for clients.

4. Supervise and mentor less experienced Social Workers, assisting them in complex cases where necessary.

5. Model the application of theory to practice and promote a culture of learning and development within the team.

6. Demonstrate leadership and take responsibility for workload management within the team.

7. Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to social work practice and services.

8. Ensure accurate and timely record keeping, including completion of reports.

Required Qualifications:

1. Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).

2. Current registration with Social Work England.

3. At least 5 years post-qualification experience in a social work setting.

4. Proven experience in case management and managing a diverse caseload.

5. Knowledge and experience of child protection, mental health, or services for adults/older people is essential.

6. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

7. Competency in computer skills, including use of digital case management systems.

8. Ability to travel within the community, including home visits.
