Senior Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Hammersmith & Fulham. Our ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, exceptional emotional intelligence, outstanding listening and communication skills, and a thorough understanding of social work best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Undertaking complex casework and interventions with children, young people and adults to help protect them from harm.

2. Providing leadership and supervision to junior members of the team and taking responsibility for ensuring excellence in professional practice.

3. Collaborating effectively with allied healthcare professionals, local authorities, charities and other community resources to create comprehensive social service plans.

4. Drafting evidential reports for legal proceedings, and actively participate in the same if required.

5. Implementing and evaluating intervention and therapeutic strategies tailored to individual needs.

6. Assisting with budget development and management, and ensure that interventions and activities are cost-effective and financially sustainable.

7. Observing, monitoring, and documenting client’s condition, vital statistics, and behaviour, and reporting any drastic changes to the assigned supervisor.

8. Keeping up-to-date with legislation, policy and research to ensure your practice is up-to-date and informed regarding best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A degree in social work and a valid registration with Social Work England.

2. A minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a senior position within a social services environment.

3. In-depth knowledge of social care legislation, guidelines, and best practices related to children, young people, and adults.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
