Senior Social Worker – Assessment and Intervention Team

Seven Social Care are seeking a seasoned, dedicated, and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment and Intervention Team in Slough, UK. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating service user’s care and needs. This role requires a deep understanding of social work theories and practices, coupled with effective assessment and intervention skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users to identify their needs, strengths and risks.

2. Develop, implement, and review robust and comprehensive care plans to meet the needs of service users.

3. Work collaboratively with other professionals, service providers, and service users to ensure the provision of the highest quality service.

4. Provide a safe environment by adhering to the organization’s policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

5. React promptly to situations of risk and safeguarding concerns, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to protect service users.

6. Positively contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and promoting a positive working environment.

7. Maintain accurate and timely records, including assessment reports, care plans, case notes, and correspondence with service providers.

8. Commit to ongoing professional development and remain updated with social work practices, theories, and legislative requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Must be registered with the Social Work England (SWE).

2. Proven experience as a Senior Social Worker with a particular focus on assessment and intervention.

3. Extensive knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines that drive the UK’s social work sector.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

5. Evidence of continual professional development.

6. The capability of dealing with high levels of stress, making complex decisions, and manage your time effectively.

7. DBS check clearance.
