Senior Social Worker – Dual Diagnosis

Seven Social Care are seeking a Senior Social Worker with specialization in Dual Diagnosis to join our team in Essex. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing clients with concurrent mental health and substance misuse problems.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals presenting with dual diagnosis.

2. Deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions on a one-to-one or group basis.

3. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including local healthcare providers, government agencies, and family members, as necessary.

4. Develop and implement individual service plans focused on recovery and maintaining stability.

5. Advocate for clients and coordinate services to address multiple aspects of the individual’s life including housing, vocational or educational needs, and family relations.

6. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards affecting social work practices.

7. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences and provide supervision to junior team members, as needed.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Social Work or equivalent.

2. Eligible for registration with Social Work England (SWE).

3. Extensive experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis in a professional social work context.

4. Familiarity with resources and services available to individuals with mental health and addictive disorders.

5. Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

6. Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

7. Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
