Senior Social Worker First Response Team

Seven Social Care is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our First Response Team in Hillingdon. The suitable candidate will be responsible for providing effective and efficient social work services to vulnerable individuals and families in the community, highlighting the welfare and protection of children.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead, manage, and supervise a group of social workers and other members within the First Response Team.

2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs, analyzing information from assessments, and implementing services accordingly.

3. Deal with complex situations, making sound decisions in emergency and crisis situations, following relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

4. Develop and maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and multi-agency teams.

5. Provide high-level advice, support, and guidance within the team and to external bodies when required.

6. Regularly review, update, and manage cases, ensuring plans are in place and being followed.

7. Advocate for service users and guide them to make informed decisions about their circumstances.

8. Act as a mentor for junior members of staff, providing training and development opportunities where necessary.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Social Work and a registered member of the Social Work England.

2. Significant, demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably within a first response setting.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a range of stakeholders.

5. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

6. Resilience under pressure and ability to manage complex caseloads.

7. Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in service delivery.

8. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
