Senior Support Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work in Roehampton and Tooting. This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension. We are looking for someone who can start ASAP.

The role of a Senior Support Worker:

You will work with the community offering access to the range of health and well being activities in the Roehampton area of Wandsworth to support older people to maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Support Worker:

Actively engage and work in partnership with statutory, voluntary, and independent sector services, and residents aged 55 plus themselves, to optimise local resources and local knowledge in developing service provision.

Support older people from Roehampton to use health and well being services and link them into their wider communities

Reach older people who may be at risk of losing their independence and offer support to either aid recovery or delay deterioration in their health & wellbeing.

Continue to develop Age Well services by engaging in provider forums and sharing best practice and expertise.

Applicant Requirements:

• Experience: Knowledge and experience to set up relevant and attractive services for older population. Experience of recruiting, supervising, motivation and supporting volunteers
• Compliance: DBS on the Update Service, Right to Work in the UK
• Hours: 31.2 Hours per week – Monday to Friday, mostly office hours, but some flexibility required to work occasional evenings.
