Service Development and Support Officer

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Development and Support Officer to fill a role in Barnsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing services that promote the welfare of customers and communities in the area.

About the role:

We require enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our Children in Care and Care Leavers Service. A significant part of the role will be providing business support functions to social work colleagues – including taking and distributing minutes from a range of meetings and processing financial payments relating to Children in Care and Care Leavers activities – and therefore solid IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

– Support the development and delivery of customer-focused services that meet the needs of the local community

– Collaborate with service providers, community groups, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement

– Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction

– Ensure services are designed and delivered in compliance with relevant legislation and best practices

– Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on service delivery, performance, and customer feedback

– Provide advice, guidance, and support to colleagues, partners, and stakeholders on service development and improvement

Requirements:

-Level 4 relevant qualification in administration or finance

-AAT Level 2 Accounting

– Proven experience in service development, delivery, and improvement

– Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Ability to work effectively as part of a team

– Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and regulations relating to social care services
