Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Service Support – Schools MIS Technician to work within Nottinghamshire County Council. This is a full time role, paying £15 – £19 p/h. 

We are a well-established ICT support service and have an exciting opportunity available for a MIS Technician to join our friendly and professional School ICT Service Desk team. 

We have been providing MIS support to schools and academies across Nottinghamshire and neighbouring counties for 30 years.  O ur aim is to ensure that our schools and academies achieve the most effective use and best value for money from their SIMS, FMS, ScholarPack or Arbor software.

About the Role:

The Schools MIS Technician role resolves incoming queries from customers via telephone, email and web chat. The team environment is positive, friendly and has a proactive can-do attitude.

You will need to be self-motivated, have effective problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills and work well as part of a busy team. 

You must have experience of infrastructure technologies such as Servers, Communications, Operating systems, MS product set (Server, SQL and Client), SOLUS (SIMS Online User Services), Microsoft (Office) 365 and browser technologies (Edge and Chrome).

You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work under pressure and be flexible at peak times.  You will be enthusiastic, reliable with a passion for learning and an ability to work together to effectively share, manage and prioritise issues and requests received from schools.   Previous experience of working in an IT service desk, school environment or knowledge of schools MIS systems is a distinct advantage, however training will be provided.
