Sessional Worker Adults with Learning Disabilities

Seven Social Care is looking for a Sessional Worker Adults with Learning Disabilities at Hammersmith and Fulham

The role:

To deliver excellent support to vulnerable adults with a Learning Disability who also have a physical disability, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Mental Health, Dementia

Support every Adult through a personalised approach to enable them to stay safe, achieve, and ensure their wellbeing.

Assisting our Residents in identifying progression opportunities and providing on-going transition support for those moving into Ashchurch Centre, college, employment, apprenticeships or further learning. Being able to live the life they want.

To provide care and support to Adults as directed to be fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. This will include personal care as required.

Establishing positive relationships with our Residents, supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities, and to explore services.

e.g Community Living establishments as required.

To participate with Residents in Tutor led groups within the Community Hub, or within another learning Environment.

Role Duties

To provide support at our new Ashchurch Centre, and work on an ad hoc contract.

To ensure all work is carried out in a way that enables people to exercise their rights, have meaningful Choice, Control, and Power over the support services they receive.

To be observant for signs of potential abuse and to respond to disclosure of abuse. To follow safeguarding procedures for reporting and recording of abuse.

Work with colleagues and people with learning disabilities in the promotion of the Ashchurch Centre its core values, whilst fulfilling and furthering the aims and objectives of the Service.

To deliver high quality support working within agreed policies, protocols, and guidelines specific to the Resident / person being supported.
