Shift Leader – Care and Support

  • Salary: £14 - £17.13 per hour

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Shift Leader to work in a care setting based in the Sutton in Ashfield area. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £14.00 – £17.13 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options available).

Key Responsibilities:

    • Undertake tasks that are set by the Registered manager

Positively contribute to the personal development of our residents with both practical and emotional support.

Lead by example, behave and communicate appropriately at all times.

Design, implement, deliver and contribute in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events within the home and wider community. This will involve regular outings and trips and on occasion, extended visits and holidays.

Using knowledge and experience, contribute positively to care planning and participate supportively in reviews as requested, demonstrating a sound knowledge regarding nutrition and hygiene.

Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.

Take ownership for key-worker duties and where appropriate look to develop and strengthen links with families, friends and relevant significant others.

Work in partnership with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication across the homes.

Proactively participate in supporting the staff team to include carrying out supervisions as requested.

Attend and contribute positively to regular staff meetings and hand-over meetings, ensuring all relevant information is disseminated appropriately and in a timely manner.

Contribute positively to the training and development of the staff team to include own personal development / highlighting any training needs.

Audit and spot check all support plans to ensure outcomes are being recorded

Undertake review of all support plans at least yearly whenever the customer needs have changed

Ensure all health & safety checks are completed and reported back to the Assistant Manager

Ensuring policies and procedures are followed and monitored

Provide relevant information on support hours to the Assistant manager for effective invoicing, monitoring and compliance.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience: 2+ years working with in a similar role.
  • Compliance: Current DBS check and references covering the last 3 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 35 hours p/w.
