Sign Services and Traffic Management Operative

Seven Social Care are looking for a Sign Services and Traffic Management Operative in the Mountsorrel, Leicestershire area. 

This is a full time position offering £12+ P/H.

Job Pupose:

  • To undertake various duties linked to temporary traffic management signage, delivery, collection, and practical traffic management to gain experience in technical practices; safe working procedures and use of equipment and power tools.
  • To work in close collaboration with the Sign Shop and Traffic Management Technicians, assisting where required in the workshop, and providing cover at peak or emergency times as required.
  • To comply with risk assessments and safe working practices, ensuring a safe working environment, having regard to statutory requirements such as Health and Safety, COSHH Regulations and Driver’s Hours Regulations.
  • To manage less experienced operatives when working together in a mature manner to help them increase their skills and knowledge.
  • To work as part of a team where required to support other Operational Activities – this may include: Quick Response; General Maintenance; Drainage; Road-mender; Gully Emptying; Camera Van; Construction & Surfacing.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 2 IN Highways Maintenance or similar.
  • Skilled Road-Worker Trades Test Assesment.
  • New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) Qualification (Operative).
  • National Highways Sector Scheme 12B.
  • National Highways Sector Scheme 12C.
  • National Highways Sector Scheme 12D(T1/T2).
  • National Highways Sector Scheme 12D (T5).
  • Valid Large Goods Vehicle Licence and CPC Trained with current DQC Card.
  • Or Demonstratable evidence of the above as skills and experience.
