Skilled Vehicle Technician

Seven Social Care is looking for a Skilled Vehicle Technician to work within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Greater London.

The role:

Undertake the inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment including other repairs and modifications on vehicles and equipment that require specialist skills and experience as identified in the person specification attached. Prepare and present all types of vehicles and motorcycles to appropriate approved testing stations and achieve a high pass rate, Undertake MOT tests on appropriate vehicles presented to the Council’s MOT bay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining various size fleet vehicles, including cars vans and buses.
• Must have Level 3 City & Guilds in Vehicle Technician.
• Could lead to permanent opportunity 
• Immediate start for the right candidate

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: Hold an appropriate vehicle technician qualification (equivalent: NVQ Level 2 or above). Full UK Driving Licence + Motorcycle Licence (150cc Minimum)
• Experience: Experience needed in HGV & PSV vehicles. Demonstrate at least two years’ experience of undertaking routine, multiskilled, working on cars, light vans and heavy vehicles that are similar to those operated by the Council as well as any specialist equipment attached. 
• Compliance: RTW in the UK with no restrictions
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
