Social Work Assistant

Seven Social Care is looking for an Social Work Resource Assistant to work with Cardiff Council

£12.38 PAYE or £15.48 UMBRELLA
37 hours per week

New starters are office based for 6-8 weeks while training is completed, followed by a hybrid model of 2-3 days working in the office and 2-3 days working from home. The post is currently available until 31/03/2025 and will then be subject to ongoing funding being agreed.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Work Resource Assistant:

• The role plays a key part in supporting social workers with admin related tasks as part of the assessment and care planning process.
• As part of the process the role will involve contacting service users, family members and care providers to discuss and review aspects of the care package.
• Assist in conducting needs assessments, service plan coordination, and follow-through with referrals.
• Collect and collate information and statistics for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
• Provide general administrative support by maintaining paperwork, reports and information as necessary.

Requirements of the Social Work Resource Assistant

• Degree level education or equivalent experience in Social care
• Strong knowledge of community resources and services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage time and tasks effectively.
• Demonstrates an understanding and ability to use office software suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
