Social Work Assistant – Bed Co-Ordinator

Seven Social Care are looking for a Social Work Assistant – Bed Co-Ordinator to start a new temporary contract in Warrington. The role is initially for 6 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role:

Your role will be to assist the Over 65 Adult Social Care Team in Warrington, to support a busy social care service as a bed co-ordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

This will involve sourcing bed vacancies across the borough and at times outside of borough for both respite stays and permanent placements.

Excellent organisational and communication skills with experience of using Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.

Liaise with care home providers and social work professionals in order to secure placements for the required dates.

Need to ensure that the required documentation is provided to care home providers ahead of admission and ensure that you are up to date daily with all current vacancies across the borough.

To include liaising with the hospital bed co-ordinator to ensure that all bed requests are given appropriate priority.

Experience of working within the adult social care sector is essential.

Applicant Requirements:

• Experience and Qualifications: Must have previous Social Work Assistant experience
• Compliance: Up to date DBS(preferably on the update service), Right to Work in the UK.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours a week
