Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Barnet. The ideal candidate will make a significant impact on improving people’s lives in Barnet, promoting social justice and welfare rights. They will operate within a multi-disciplinary environment and engage with individuals, families, groups, and wider communities to improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct interviews with individuals and families to assess and review their situation.

2. Undertake and write up assessments (which may include environmental risk assessments) that meet specified standards and timescales.

3. Offer information, support, and counselling to service users and their families.

4. Prepare for, and attend, tribunals and case conferences.

5. Manage, support, guide, and develop less experienced social workers in the team.

6. Develop working relationships with professionals from a variety of sectors, including health, education, and the police.

7. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for legal action.

8. Ensure the highest standards of care and service are maintained in accordance with local and national guidelines.

Key Requirements:

1. Valid Social Work England registration.

2. Recent Social Work experience in the UK.

3. BA/MA/BSc/MSc Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or equivalent.

4. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current legislation relating to social care.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

8. Understanding and experience of safeguarding procedures.
