Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals and their families by helping them to cope with issues in their everyday lives.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct and assess needs of individuals, families, or communities to address problems such as illness, poverty, and substance abuse.

2. Develop a comprehensive care plan that addresses identified needs, including housing assistance, job training, mental health services, etc.

3. Monitor, coordinate and provide resources and services.

4. Advocate for clients or patients to resolve crises, protecting the clients’ rights and ensuring their safety.

5. Address legal issues, such as child abuse and neglect, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for legal action.

6. Collaborate with other professionals such as doctors, psychologists, school personnel, and others who are part of the individual’s treatment team.

7. Offer guidance and provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups facing problems such as stress, trauma, or adjustment to new life situations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Registration with the HCPC as a licensed social worker.

3. Extensive experience in social work, preferably within the specified area.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Strong ability to perform in stressful situations, manage workload efficiently, and maintain professional boundaries.

6. High level of ethics and professionalism.

7. Good understanding and sensitivity towards cultural and personal differences.
