Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our community-focused team in the heart of Old Woking. The main role is to support individuals and their families through difficult times and ensure that vulnerable people, including children and adults, are safeguarded from harm.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out regular assessments of people’s needs in line with the Care Act and Children Acts.

2. Establish comprehensive care plans for clients, working closely with other professionals like healthcare providers and teaching staff.

3. Facilitate and coordinate person-centered and safe care, including safeguarding vulnerable clients.

4. Keep up-to-date records and prepare reports for legal action if necessary.

5. Facilitate group therapeutic sessions and workshops on mental health, parenting, addictions, and other relevant topics.

6. Advocate for and raise awareness about resources and welfare rights.

7. Support decision-making in line with Mental Capacity Act requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW).

2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.

3. Previous experience in a social worker role is preferred.

4. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

5. Ability to handle difficult situations with sensitivity.

6. Knowledge of local and national initiatives that impact the delivery of services to the population served.
