Social Worker

Seven Social Care are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Wakefield, UK. The chosen applicant will earn £35 per hour. The successful candidate will be energetic, empathetic, and driven, with an immense passion for facilitating improvement in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families in our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality psychosocial care while identifying and addressing each client’s needs.

2. Act as an advocate for clients and connect them with resources that would enable them to lead better lives.

3. Assess and reassess client needs regularly by developing and implementing treatment plans effectively.

4. Collaborate with other health professionals such as Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and support staff.

5. Assist clients in navigating the social services system.

6. Coordinate and facilitate group interactions to bring about effective canalization of social and emotional issues.

7. Maintain comprehensive case notes and document interventions and interactions.

8. Develop effective relationships with clients to foster trust and cooperation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in social work from a recognized university.

2. Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body.

3. Prior experience working as a Social Worker; experience in a multi-agency setting will be a plus.

4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of professional social work practices.

5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team as well as independently.

6. Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently to handle a large case load.

7. Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledgeable about relevant social work software.

8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations in a calm and efficient manner.

9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
