Social Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Walsall Wood, UK. The role involves offering support and resources to individuals and their families who face life’s challenges including illness, disability, unemployment, poverty, abuse, mental health issues, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial assessments of individuals, families, and groups to determine needs, strengths, and eligible services.

2. Create individualized care plans targeting each client’s specific needs.

3. Regularly follow-up with clients and adjust the care plans as necessary.

4. Provide therapy or counseling services to clients and their families to cope with life’s challenges.

5. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for legal action.

6. Collaborate with other social service professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive service to clients.

7. Develop supportive relationships with clients while ensuring professional boundaries.

8. Advocate for and assist clients in navigating the processes of obtaining social services, including health insurance, food stamps, and housing.

9. Attend regular training to stay updated with current trends, changes in laws regarding social services and resources available for clients.

Key Requirements:

1. Holding a relevant qualification, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.

2. Registration with the UK’s Social Work regulatory body.

3. Proven experience as a Social Worker.

4. Excellent knowledge of social theories and practices.

5. Result-oriented with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

6. A strong sense of empathy, patience, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of those facing life challenges.

7. Proficient in case management software and MS Office.

8. Excellent communication and people skills.
