Social Worker

Seven Social Care have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Social Worker to join our team in the Vale of Glamorgan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to our clients while focusing on improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out assessments of individuals, families, and other groups, understanding their situations, and recommending necessary support.

2. Develop and implement well-structured and personalised care plans.

3. Liaise and work collaboratively with other professionals, including health and education, to provide holistic care for clients.

4. Advocate for and support service users to make sure their voices are heard, and their needs are recognised and met.

5. Manage a caseload ensuring all documentation and records are kept up to date whilst following local and national policy and legislation.

6. Offer counselling, support, and advice, to service users to help them make informed decisions.

7. Organise community-based projects focused on reducing isolation, promoting independence, and improving the overall wellbeing of service users.

8. Respond to crisis situations and escalate issues as necessary.

9. Stay updated with the latest developments in social work and carry out continuous professional development.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work is mandatory.

2. Valid registration with the Social Work England is a must.

3. Significant experience in social work, preferably within the local governement or healthcare sectors.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Demonstrable knowledge of safeguarding policies and legislation.

6. Proven ability to manage a demanding workload, prioritise and delegate tasks where necessary.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.

8. Understanding of data protection and maintaining confidentiality.

9. Willingness to travel within the Vale of Glamorgan for client visits.
