Social Worker – Adolescents Team

Seven Social Care are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adolescents Team based in Exeter UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of adolescents under their care.

Responsibilities:

1. Work directly with teenagers and their families, assisting in times of crisis such as dealing with issues of substance abuse, school truancy, or antisocial behavior.

2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of adolescents to identify specific needs, strengths and areas of risk.

3. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of the adolescent.

4. Facilitate and coordinate resources needed for the client’s welfare such as medical appointments, educational support, counseling services, and family assistance programs.

5. Liaise and cooperate with other social service providers and professionals like teachers, doctors, police, and child care workers to ensure ongoing support is given.

6. Act as an advocate for the rights and safety of adolescents and ensuring their voice is heard and understood.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, and maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; Master’s Degree preferred.

2. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Proven experience as a Social Worker, specifically with Adolescents.

4. Knowledge of UK’s social services policies and procedures.

5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Excellent problem-solving abilities.

7. Patience and resilience with the ability to manage stress effectively.

8. Must possess a driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.
