Social Worker (Adults)

Seven Social Care is seeking a qualified and compassionate Social Worker specializing in adult care to join our team based in Wolverhampton. The incumbent will provide professional and comprehensive casework services to adults, and must be equipped to handle complex situations while ensuring the welfare and safety of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine their needs, situations, support networks, and goals.

2. Create personalized care plans to address each client’s specific situation.

3. Provide emotional support to adults experiencing a crisis, or confronting significant challenges such as disability, mental health issues, or social problems.

4. Advocate for clients’ rights and needs, to ensure their well-being and access to appropriate services and resources.

5. Carry out regular reviews to evaluate the efficiency of care plans and to adjust as necessary.

6. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on the clients’ status and progress.

7. Collaborate with other professionals like doctors, physiotherapists, and nurses for comprehensive care delivery.

8. Conduct counseling sessions on an individual or group basis to address issues affecting clients’ mental health.

Education, Skills and Experience:

1. A degree in Social Work and registration with the UK’s Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Relevant experience in adult social care, preferably within a multidisciplinary team.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with clients.

4. Solid understanding of local and national policies, guidelines, and laws within adult care and protection.

5. Outstanding problem-solving abilities and resilience in managing high-pressure situations.

6. Strong organizational, time management and reporting skills.

7. A current, valid UK driving license.
