Social Worker- Adults

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker for our Adults division based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The candidate will be primarily responsible for providing support and assistance to adults requiring help due to various circumstances such as disability, illness, social problems, and age-related issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Assessing, planning and implementing support to adults facing different types of hardships.

2. Managing cases efficiently and ensuring the highest level of care is maintained at all times.

3. Working closely with family members and other involved partners, providing insightful guidance where needed.

4. Developing and reviewing service plans in response to changing client needs.

5. Working to safeguard adults while maintaining their rights and dignity.

6. Assisting clients to navigate and engage with community resources and services.

7. Participating and contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

8. Responding effectively to crises and providing solutions or ensuring intervention to reduce risks.

9. Promoting and facilitating client independence and self-determination where possible.

10. Keeping accurate professional records and documentation for services provided.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Social Work, or related field. A Master’s degree would be preferred.

2. Registered as a Social Worker with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in adult social work.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to manage case-load effectively.

6. Knowledgeable about legislation and policies relating to adult social care.

7. Ability to maintain a professional approach and ethical standards at all times.

8. Demonstrates a passion for making a difference in the lives of people requiring help.
