Social Worker Adults – Level 3

Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Social Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of adults across Kirklees

The role:

Experienced level three social worker required to work in a busy small Adults Safeguarding Team, experience essential.

The role will entail emergency duty visits and there will be a mix of working in the office and from home.

The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge of the Carefirst IT database system ,however not essential.

They should have excellent IT skills. They will be flexible and hold a drivers license and have use of a car for work.

The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative alongside being able to support the team. They will have an excellent knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and section 42 duties and will also be knowledgeable in terms of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Key Responsibilities:

      Exercises professional judgement and uses appropriate methods and interventions, values and knowledge base to work with adults and their carers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Works within relevant legislation, government guidance and the council’s practice standards

Works in a way that takes into account issues relating to age, sexuality, health, race, religion, culture, and life experience

Works effectively as part of a team and effectively with a range of agencies and professionals.

Interventions are planned and reviewed in line with legal and procedural requirements

Adopts a risk sensible approach

Provides verbal and written reports as required.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
