Social Worker – Advanced

Seven Social Care are looking for a committed and dedicated Advanced Social Worker to join our team in Islington, UK. This individual will have substantial expertise in the field of social work and exhibit a genuine passion for helping the community.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as a key worker for a specialised caseload, lead investigations, perform risk assessments, and develop care plans accordingly.

2. Manage complex cases, including assessment and management of risks associated with child protection, adults at risk, domestic violence, and mental health.

3. Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to less experienced social workers and students.

4. Advocate, mediate, and develop direct therapeutic contacts with service users.

5. Develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations, communities, and user groups.

6. Produce concise reports for child protection conferences, strategy meetings, look after children reviews, and other forums.

7. Create and update records with the timely and accurate status of cases.

8. Deliver training and awareness sessions on social work practices and policy changes to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. A degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work.

2. Registration with the Social Work England.

3. A minimum of four years’ experience in social work with proven experience in handling complex cases.

4. Comprehensive understanding of applicable legislation, guidance, and practice related to social work.

5. Ability to exercise sound judgement in high-risk situations and make decisions that are in the best interests of service users.

Skills:

1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

2. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining efficacy.

3. Ability to work with a team and independently when needed.

4. Proficiency in crisis management.

5. Strong emotional resilience.
