Social Worker – Advanced (6 Years)

Seven Social Care are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Islington, UK. The ideal candidate has at least six years of advanced professional experience under his/her belt and is committed to helping individuals, families, and groups enhance their individual and collective well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-level assessment services to identify social, economic, and mental health needs for individuals, families, or groups.

2. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans.

3. Engage with clients, their families, and other professionals in collaborative decision-making processes.

4. Guide and counsel clients to help them overcome personal or societal issues.

5. Monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions, while updating care recommendations accordingly.

6. Respond efficiently to crisis situations involving clients.

7. Provide testimony in court in relation to clients’ welfare.

8. Conduct research projects related to social work to contribute to the improvement of the social service delivery.

9. Provide leadership and guidance to junior social workers and social work interns.

10. Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely records and reports.

11. Uphold ethical practices and compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor or Master degree in Social Work (mandatory) and Registration with the Social Work England (or equivalent).

2. Minimum six years of experience in a social work position.

3. In-depth knowledge of social theories and practices.

4. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and critical-thinking skills.

5. Ability to handle a high degree of pressure and challenging situations.

6. Proficient with computer software and information systems used in social work settings.

7. Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel for work-related requirements.

8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.

9. Resilience and patience in dealing with challenging circumstances.

10. Good organisational, leadership, and administrative skills.
