Social Worker- Assessment Team

Seven Social Care are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Chatham, UK. The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of social work practices and are highly committed to providing exceptional service to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of the social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting individuals and families in Chatham.

2. Collaborate cross-functionally with other members of the assessment team to create comprehensive and effective client-care plans.

3. Advocate for clients’ rights and needs, ensuring their voice is central to the service we deliver.

4. Maintain and manage case files and documentation accurately, updating as required, ensuring they comply with confidentiality requirements and statutory regulations.

5. Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders, such as healthcare professionals, education officials, and local government.

6. Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary, ensuring the safety and welfare of all clients.

7. Continually assess and evaluate services provided, using data collected to target improvements and drive positive change.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a valid registration with the Social Work England.

2. Extensive experience in a social work setting, preferably including work with assessment teams.

3. In-depth knowledge of current legislation, policy and procedures in relation to safeguarding, child protection and looked after children.

4. Professional, confident, and caring personality with a passion for delivering high standards of care.

5. Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.

6. Excellent management, organisational, and communication skills.

7. Willingness to undergo continued development and training.

8. Must be able to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
