Social Worker – Assessment Team

  • Salary: £44 - £44 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Social Care are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Assessment Team based in Barnstaple, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the needs of individuals and communities, developing strategies to assist them, and coordinating services with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial assessments and regular reviews of clients’ needs.

2. Work collaboratively with other professionals to implement effective care plans for clients.

3. Liaise with a range of individuals, families, and agencies like health authorities, educational bodies, and social services.

4. Maintain detailed records and prepare timely reports on clients’ assessments and progress.

5. Advocate for clients’ rights and safety, and ensure they have access to the resources they need.

6. Provide clients with information and resources to deal with their situations effectively.

7. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of procedures and policies to improve the service.

Key Requirements:

1. Qualified social work status, recognised in the UK (BASW, CQSW, Dip SW, BA HON).

2. Registration with Social Work England.

3. Previous experience in a social work environment.

4. Strong understanding of social systems, policies, and resources.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a varied range of individuals and groups.

6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

7. Proficient with databases, MS Office particularly Excel, report writing, and maintaining records.
