Social Worker – Assessment Team

  • Salary: £44 - £44 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Social Care are looking for a dedicated, capable and empathetic Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, helping us to make a vital difference in the lives of those in our community who require social services support.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough and appropriate assessments of individual and family situations to evaluate needs and risks.

2. Develop intervention plans based on assessments.

3. Coordinate with other agencies and health providers when necessary.

4. Provide crisis intervention when necessary.

5. Keep detailed records and prepare reports for legal actions.

6. Advocate for or assist clients in the acquisition of services and ensure they are receiving proper care.

7. Maintain professional development and training to ensure current knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

8. Maintain a case load, prioritising need in accordance with the departmental procedures.

9. Utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development and implementation.

Requirements:

1. A recognised Social Work Qualification, with registration to Social Work England.

2. Substantial post-qualifying experience within a social work setting.

3. Experience in responding to complex cases and crisis management.

4. Detailed understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation.

5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

6. Capable of working effectively as part of a team and independently.

7. High standard of report writing and IT proficiency.

8. A driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use.
