Social Worker – Child Protection Team

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team based in Yate, UK. The right candidate will be a compassion-driven individual with a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing a caseload of the most vulnerable children and providing an exceptional level of support.

2. Determining the needs and risks of children by conducting thorough assessments.

3. Working collaboratively with other services and agencies to deliver effective, tailored support.

4. Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans in accordance with laws and guidelines.

5. Facilitating family group meetings and intervention strategies, whilst maintaining an accurate record of such meetings.

6. Proactively maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding legislative changes, best practices, and resources in the field of child protection.

7. Ensuring all interventions and communications are accurately documented and recorded in case files.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

1. Degree in Social Work or equivalent (Mandatory) 2. Registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England or equivalent (Mandatory) 3. Multiple years of relevant experience, specifically within child protection (Required) 4. Familiarity and understanding of current legislation and policies relating to Child Protection.

5. Excellent assessment, negotiation, and communication skills.

6. Proficient in maintaining accurate, clear, and concise records.

7. Comprehensive knowledge of child development and attachment theories.

8. Ability to manage a high caseload and work effectively under pressure.

9. Must possess authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
