Social Worker (Children)

Seven Social Care are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Children’s Social Worker in Wakefield, UK with an hourly wage of £32. This role involves working within a busy children’s team, so previous experience in a similar setting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working to safeguard and promote the welfare of children while continuously assessing and reviewing their needs.

2. Delivering focused and systematic services for children and their families while ensuring their voices are heard.

3. Planning, coordinating and delivering care management services to assigned children and their families.

4. Preparing and presenting reports for Child Protection Conferences, Strategy Meetings, Looked After Children Reviews and Court Proceedings as required.

5. Working collaboratively with related professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.

6. Providing appropriate interventions for children and families, both short-term and long term.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

1. Hold a Degree in Social Work.

2. Be registered with the Social Work England.

3. Have a strong understanding of children’s social work and child protection processes.

4. Have significant experience in a similar post.

5. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6. Have the ability to handle pressure and work within tight deadlines.

7. Have the capability to undertake and record evidence-based assessments using a variety of tools and techniques.

8. Have a firm commitment to equal opportunities policy and practice, child protection procedures and health & safety regulations.
